During the end of July and beginning of August, kids (mostly sad) and parents (mostly happy) prepare for the back-to-school rush. A side benefit of this is that many states are having tax holidays that anyone can take advantage of – even if you have nothing to do with schools.
The list seems to grow each year, and this year nearly twenty states are offering tax-free holidays for clothing and school-related supplies. Other states are holding concurrent tax holidays for hurricane or disaster preparedness supplies.
